CertMetrics was developed out of lessons learned over decades of credential management experience and utilizes knowledge of best practices in the field. It is designed and maintained to provide programs with the most stable, feature-rich, and flexible solution on the market. CertMetrics offers a 99.99% up-time and ensures programs need not worry about latency issues, security issues, or managing exponential program growth.
CertMetrics is a SaaS solution that was designed to provide and support a high level of performance while maintaining data security. CertMetrics was built with stability and security in mind, employing the Microsoft technology stack which utilizes the most current technology and security available on the market. All hardware is owned and maintained by Alpine Testing Solutions so you never have to worry about downtime, upgrades, or who has access to your data.
Our secure server environment is SSAE16 certified and allows clients to rest assured that their data is well protected. Additionally, this flexible architecture allows clients to grow exponentially. Need more storage space, RAM, or processors added to your environment? No problem. All of this can be accomplished by Alpine’s dedicated group of developers and system administrators that actively monitor hardware, software, and data to ensure a positive user experience.
Highlights of the advanced technological infrastructure behind CertMetrics include:
Software Designed for Growth
With the use of virtualized technology, Alpine is able to manage each client instance independently from other clients through the use of virtual machines. Leveraging virtualization technology gives Alpine the flexibility to proactively monitor and manage client performance across the host servers to provide optimum performance and security to all clients. Alpine regularly invests in adding servers and resources to ensure there is plenty of availability for new and existing clients.
Segregated Reporting and Staging
The CertMetrics software architecture is just as important as the technology on which it is hosted. Each client is segregated onto its own instance which includes its own Microsoft SQL database and CertMetrics codebase. You’ll never have to worry about one CertMetrics client seeing another’s data because of the silo approach taken to protect your data. And while the core CertMetrics codebase is standardized across all clients, each client has access to only its own codebase to ensure no possibility of cross contamination.
CertMetrics imports thousands of exam results and processes innumerable candidate updates and on-demand downloads daily. Our ability to process that data faster than our competition and make it available through the reporting interface ensures you have the data you need as quickly as possible. To efficiently manage this task we have separated critical, resource-intensive functions within the CertMetrics platform. For instance, the servers responsible for crunching data and producing reports have been segregated from those importing data and fulfilling candidate requests. This prevents any latency that might be experienced by candidates when you are running resource-intensive reports.
Beta Environment for Testing
CertMetrics provides a separate staging/beta environment for each of our clients. This environment allows our developers to make changes to your instance of CertMetrics and allows you to preview, test, and approve those changes before they are pushed to your production environment.
Alpine has invested in and developed a sound architecture and technology infrastructure to provide secure, reliable, high-performing systems with sufficient flexibility to adapt to client needs. This infrastructure allows us to quickly and reliably customize and deploy technology to fulfill candidate management requirements while minimizing exposure to security and performance issues.
The CertMetrics platform and all our client data is housed in two, separate data centers that are both SSAE 16 certified and boast a 99.99% uptime. Incremental backups are performed nightly with full backups performed weekly. Biometric security is required to gain entry to the raised floor environment and all CertMetrics servers are housed in a locked cage accessible by approved Alpine staff only.
Qualified Staff You Can Count On
Alpine hires only the best and most qualified personnel across all of its departments. CertMetrics is architected, developed, administered, and maintained by a staff of full-time Alpine employees who are based in the continental US. Our technology team is led by a product manager who, in conjunction with our clients’ needs, guides the direction of the product. The team consists of implementation specialist, multiple project managers, software architects, and developers. All CertMetrics personnel are required to undergo background checks and drug screening.
