Software Developer

Position Description

The Software Developer role is responsible for designing, coding, testing, and maintaining CertMetrics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update custom and new system features
  • Provide ongoing technical support to Program Managers (PMs) and clients
  • Perform ongoing system development tasks including logic updates, report reviews, system upgrades, etc.
  • Provide recommendations for managing complex data and system issues
  • Participate in quality control processes and procedures
  • Participate in and contribute to project retrospectives
  • Contract work
  • Assist in the evaluate of client needs as directed by the architect
  • Collaborate with Business Development Manager (BDM) and Program Manager (PM) to develop a work plan as directed by the architect
  • Contribute to, review, and revise proposals as needed
  • Collaborate with Program Manager (PM) and Role Leads to identify additional staff resources who will be assisting with the project
  • Consult with clients through verbal on written modes on a variety of system topics
  • Provide indirect consultation to clients through internal staff on a variety of development topics
  • Serve as a resource to all other internal staff on technical and system requests
  • Provide technical training and documentation to guide technology solutions staff

Competencies

  • Working knowledge of .NET
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server
  • Excellent collaboration, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem resolution and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a virtual environment (e.g., self-starter, disciplined, troubleshooting)

Position Requirements

  • 1-2 years of Development experience
  • Up to 10% travel

Preferred

  • 3-5 years of Developer experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field (e.g., CS, Engineering, Math)
